A passion that started at eleven
Roberto Cano was born in Honduras, where he found woodworking at the age of eleven — learning the trade after school from his uncle, who owned a woodworking company. By sixteen, Roberto had launched his own business, running and growing it while he pursued his college education.
After graduating, he moved to New York City, learned English, and worked under a mentor who introduced him to the American business landscape. In 2002, he co-founded a woodworking company serving developers and contractors across the city. Twelve successful years later, he established his own firm — Cano's Wood Interiors, Inc.
For Roberto, the most rewarding part of the work is listening. Understanding what a client truly needs is what sparks his creativity and lets him develop clear, custom solutions — and deliver the kind of finish that speaks for itself.
